Kunark Progression
Continent-scale walkthrough — landing on Kunark through Sebilis and Trakanon endgame.
Kunark is the second continent of Norrath and the first major expansion content gate on The Last Camp. A character arriving on Kunark for the first time should expect a 30-plus-level arc that takes them from the Iksar starter chain through the highest pre-Velious raid content. This page is the continent-scale walkthrough — what to do, in what order, with which faction priorities. Specific quest steps live on individual zone and quest pages; this page is the through-line that ties them together.

The arrival problem
Most non-Iksar characters arrive on Kunark via the Firiona Vie boat from Freeport (with a Butcherblock connector). The boat lands you in Firiona Vie — a level-25-to-35 zone that is deeply hostile to Iksar players because of Greenmist faction. Non-Iksar characters land safely; Iksar characters need to start in Cabilis and progress out via the Iksar-friendly path.
Iksar characters native to Kunark begin in Cabilis and use Field of Bone as their level-1-10 newbie zone — see Newbie Armor Quests for the Iksar starter chain.
Level arc and zone sequence
Levels 1-10 (Iksar starter only)
- Cabilis — newbie quests, faction-safe.
- Field of Bone — decaying skeletons, lizards, scaled wolves.
Non-Iksar players skip this tier and arrive on Kunark at 25+.
Levels 25-35
- Warsliks Wood — gateway zone between Cabilis and Firiona Vie. Goblins, gorillas, ravens, and the named that drop early Kunark gear.
- Firiona Vie — the trade hub of Kunark. Banks, vendors, the Greater Faydark / Freeport boat dock. Most non-Iksar players use FV as their Kunark hub.
- Field of Bone (mid-tier) — the harder named at the top of FoB.
Levels 35-45
- Frontier Mountains — orcs, giants, named drops in the Burning Woods corridor.
- Burning Woods — a contested xp zone with high-value named.
- Dreadlands — the Iksar-to-Skyfire corridor; central transit zone.
Levels 45-55
- Overthere — Sarnak-aligned camp, Lake of Ill Omen entry.
- Lake of Ill Omen — Sarnak fort camps, contested xp.
- Karnor's Castle — the iconic mid-tier xp/grind zone. Drolvargs and Sathir undead. Well-known for hell-level breakthroughs.
- City of Mist — Sathir undead, ghostly mages, hard-hitting mid-50s zone.
Levels 55-65 (endgame)
- Howling Stones (Charasis) — the Sebilis precursor, Sathir-faction key zone.
- Old Sebilis — pre-Velious raid hub. Frogloks, juggernauts, named drops including the Sebilis-tier raid loot.
- Trakanon's Teeth — Trakanon raid zone and lake. Outdoor named.
- Emerald Jungle — Trakanon-adjacent jungle, Severilous raid, key fragment zones.
- Veeshan's Peak — endgame Kunark raid zone, dragon dens, locked behind the VP Key.
Key faction grinds
Crusaders of Greenmist
Iksar-only travel faction. Critical for Iksar players who want to leave Cabilis and operate in Greenmist-allied territory. Non-Iksar players can ignore this faction unless they intend to work specifically with Iksar guilds.
Sarnak Empire
Controls Lake of Ill Omen and the Overthere Sarnak fort. Hostile to most non-Iksar at default. Sarnak faction grinding opens a useful safe-camp area at the LoIO Sarnak fort.
- See Sarnak Empire.
Sathir-line (Sebilis + City of Mist undead)
The Sathir-faction undead populate City of Mist and tie into Sebilis. Sathir faction work is largely incidental — most players do it through quest hand-ins and incidental kills rather than dedicated grinds.
Emerald Circle / Tunarian-aligned druids
Light faction work for the druid quests in Emerald Jungle. Optional unless playing a Druid or Ranger.
Major progression milestones
In rough recommended order:
- Reach Firiona Vie (level 25-30 if non-Iksar; native if Iksar).
- Complete the Sebilis Key to bypass the Trakanon's Teeth swim entrance — typically done at 50+.
- Get keyed for Veeshan's Peak — the multi-component VP key chain — at 60+.
- Raid Trakanon for class-relevant tooth-tier loot.
- Raid Sebilis for endgame Kunark loot tables.
- Raid Veeshan's Peak for the highest-tier pre-Velious dragon loot.
Custom race-class adjustments
The Last Camp's any-race-class server doctrine creates Kunark-specific friction:
- Iksar non-Shaman/non-SK/non-Necro/non-Warrior/non-Monk classes (Iksar Wizard, Iksar Ranger, etc.) can quest in Cabilis but find no class trainer in their home city — they must travel to a class-appropriate trainer city for spell/skill maxing.
- Non-Iksar players with negative Kunark faction (most, by default) should expect to grind faction at the FV-adjacent NPCs to access trade and quest hand-ins.
- Evil-race players in Iksar territory are situationally welcome — Trolls and Ogres can survive in Cabilis-adjacent zones with care; Dark Elves face moderate hostility.
Tips
- Boat to Firiona Vie early. Don't grind to 50+ on Antonica and then face the boat — get the boat at 25-30 and let Kunark be your level-30-onward home.
- Bank in Firiona Vie. It's the central hub; most players consolidate there.
- Camp Karnor's Castle for hell-level breakthroughs. The Drolvarg xp is canonically dense.
- Greenmist faction is a dedicated grind for Iksar. Plan it as its own multi-day project.
- Sebilis Key first, VP Key second. Don't try to skip — the keys gate the endgame raid path.
- Bring water-breathing for Trakanon's Teeth. Underwater pulls and the Sebilis-back-door swim both require it.
