The chain anchors at Kazen Fecae in Lake Rathetear and runs through Nektulos Forest, Najena, the Swamp of No Hope, Chardok, Timorous Deep, the Plane of Sky, the Plane of Hate, and the Plane of Fear.
The chain is twenty distinct turn-ins. The raid gates are the Plane of Sky boss Gkzzallk on the third isle, the Eye of Innoruuk from Hate minibosses, and the Slime Blood of Cazic Thule from a Fear named. The final combine is the Gkzzallk in a Box handed to Kazen Fecae back at Lake Rathetear.

Effect: Torment of Shadows (Must Equip, L50). Magic / Lore / No Drop.
The scythe pairs a class-defining lifetap proc with a +20 INT / +80 mana caster block. The proc fires on melee hits — useful in solo and twitch-pet contexts; the headline value is the mana pool plus the INT contribution to the soft cap.

Custom race-class adjustments
Necromancer is canonically restricted to Human, Erudite, Dark Elf, Gnome, and Iksar. The Last Camp allows any race. Considerations:
- Kazen Fecae's faction is the gating concern. He sits openly in Lake Rathetear and is neutral to most races; good-race Necromancers (Wood Elf, Half Elf, Halfling, Vah Shir, Barbarian, High Elf, Dwarf) generally hand in without issue.
- Venenzi Oberzendi in Nektulos Forest is Neriak-aligned — KOS to high-elf, wood-elf, and dwarf characters. Grind Indigo Brotherhood or use invis-equip handoff windows.
- Sir Edwin Motte is a paladin and aggressive on sight — race-neutral kill.
- Najena is a kill, not a faction interaction — any race can run the dungeon.
- Drendico Metalbones in Timorous Deep is neutral to most races. Ssessthrass in Swamp of No Hope and Emkel Kabae in Lake Rathetear are Dark Bargainer / Lake faction — verify before turn-in.
- See Faction for Custom Combos for grind paths.
Group composition
- Solo (~6 steps): all the Lake Rathetear and Nektulos hand-ins, the Swamp of No Hope hand-ins, the Drendico Metalbones banking trips.
- Group (~5 steps): Sir Edwin Motte (with care), Najena, Grand Herbalist Mak'ha in Chardok, the Lake Rathetear inlet trio (Bone Golem + Failed Apprentice + Tortured Soul), Plane of Sky 1st isle for the Silver Disc / Spiroc Feathers / Black Silk Cape gathering.
- Raid (3 steps): Innoruuk minibosses in Plane of Hate (12+), Cazic Thule or Terror in Plane of Fear (18+), Gkzzallk on Plane of Sky 3rd isle (full Sky-flagged raid; the Thunder Spirit Princess hand-in starts the encounter).
Tips
- Hold a 10gp coin in inventory for the Thunder Spirit Princess trigger — losing it mid-Sky run delays the final raid step.
- The Sky 3rd isle Gkzzallk is the chain's true raid wall. Pre-stage Tome of Instruction in the Necromancer's bag, not bank.
- Cazic Thule and Terror are interchangeable for the Slime Blood drop — pick whichever the guild already has on rotation.
- Innoruuk minibosses plural: any of the Hate cluster works for the Eye drop — coordinate with Cleric, Druid, Bard, and Shadow Knight epics that also pull Hate components.
- Najena's Flowing Black Robe is needed for the Rolling Stone Moss handoff but does not equip on the Necromancer — bank it after the Venenzi turn-in.
- The Lake Rathetear inlet trio spawns from a single Kazen Fecae trigger. Don't engage solo — the Bone Golem hits hard at the spawn tick.
- Don't bank the Symbol of Insanity — it drops from a player-spawned trio with no respawn cycle, and losing it requires re-triggering Kazen.
- Torment of Shadows lifetap proc fires on melee hits. Necromancer is not a melee-class but the proc has real value in twitch-pet and finisher contexts.
