Iksar Faction Recovery (Non-Iksar Characters)
Cabilis access for non-Iksar characters — Sarnak medallion turn-ins, Greenmist bow chain, faction thresholds.
Iksar Faction Recovery is the cross-race playbook for getting a non-Iksar character into Cabilis — and the inverse path for Iksar characters trying to enter Sarnak Empire territory in Lake of Ill Omen. Canonical EQ assumed Iksar were a closed culture; The Last Camp's any-race-class doctrine routinely produces non-Iksar characters who need Cabilis spell vendors, tradeskill stations, or the Sebilis-side quest hub.
This page collects the canonical turn-in chains in both directions and the faction thresholds you need to clear.

Reward
Indifferent or better faction with Cabilis-side NPCs. Once amiable, you can use Cabilis spell vendors, tradeskill stations, the bank, and the Trakanon's Teeth / Sebilis quest hub without dying to guards on entry.
Walkthrough — non-Iksar into Cabilis
Step 1 — Approach Cabilis safely
Cabilis is hostile to most non-Iksar races on initial entry. Casters bring invisibility; rogues sneak; melee races without invis options can run the gates and zone into Cabilis East directly — guards aggro at range but most characters survive a sprint to the bank if levels are 30+.
Target a Crusaders of Greenmist quest-giver in Cabilis East. They sit near the bow turn-in NPC (canonical name Worker Jvar or equivalent — verify in-game).
Step 2 — Sarnak medallion turn-ins (Lake of Ill Omen)
The fastest faction lift comes from killing Sarnak in Lake of Ill Omen and turning in Sarnak medallions to Cabilis Crusaders. Sarnaks are the canonical enemies of the Iksar; every medallion = positive faction with Cabilis-side factions.
- Sarnak Fort (LoIO) is the densest medallion farm.
- Each turn-in raises Crusaders of Greenmist + Cabilis Residents.
- Negative side effects: Sarnak Empire faction drops accordingly. Iksar-aligned characters do not care; the inverse case (see below) does.
Reference: faction Sarnak medallion.
Step 3 — Iksar bow turn-ins (Greenmist chain)
The Iksar bow quest is a parallel Cabilis faction chain: kill specific Iksar deserters or bandits in Field of Bone and Warsliks Wood, loot bows, turn in to Crusaders of Greenmist for additional faction.
Reference: faction Iksar bow.
Step 4 — Cross indifferent
A character at amiable faction with Cabilis Residents can walk past most guards without aggro. Spell vendors typically open at indifferent or apprehensive depending on which vendor; merchants are pricier at low faction.
Step 5 — Maintain faction
Don't kill Iksar in Field of Bone or Warsliks. Don't accidentally kill a Cabilis-aligned NPC during a quest. Faction loss is steeper than gain — one bad pull can cost a session of grinding.
Walkthrough — Iksar into Sarnak Empire
The inverse path applies if your Iksar character (any class on The Last Camp) needs the Lake of Ill Omen Sarnak quest line. The chain is shorter:
- Kill Cabilis-aligned NPCs in Lake of Ill Omen (specifically Iksar deserters or scouts) for Sarnak Empire faction lift.
- Avoid killing Sarnak; treat them as your faction line.
- Cross into Sarnak Fort hub at apprehensive faction.
Iksar characters rarely need this path on The Last Camp — most stay Cabilis-side for the Sebilis chain. The route exists for completionists or for characters specifically running the Sarnak Empire quest content.
Final turn-in
There is no single final NPC. The chain ends when you can transact freely in Cabilis without guard aggro and use spell vendors at fair prices.
Custom race-class adjustments
The Last Camp's any-race-class doctrine produces, for example, Half-Elf Shadow Knights or Wood Elf Shamans who need Cabilis-side spells. The faction grind is the same regardless of race — the only variable is the level of risk on the approach.
Iksar-only quest content (most of the Cabilis-side chain) is open to all races on The Last Camp provided faction is met. The dialog trees are not gated by race.
Tips
- Camp Sarnak Fort. Densest medallion farm and stable XP.
- Stack medallion turn-ins. Faction lift is per-turn-in, not per-stack — but stacks of 20+ make the chain feel manageable.
- Don't kill Iksar in Field of Bone if you want Cabilis faction. It is the opposite faction line.
- Invis to enter, faction to stay. Invisibility lets you reach the turn-in NPC; the faction itself is what keeps you alive after invis fades.
- Bind in Cabilis once amiable. Saves overland runs from the Cabilis-side hub zones.
- Cross-reference Sebilis key — the Sebilis chain is the major reason any non-Iksar wants Cabilis faction.
