Swiftwind is the Ranger Epic 1.0 off-hand reward — a 1H slashing blade granted alongside its sister sword EarthcallerEarthcaller1H Slashing·SLOT: PRIMARYDMG 14 DLY 24HP+50STR+15STA+5DEX+10SV POIS+5SV MAGIC+5SV DIS+5SV FIRE+5SV COLD+5ProcEarthcallSlow80%Damage20Cast Instant · Dur 2:30CLASSRngWT2.0MAGICLORENO DROP at the end of the Ranger epic chain. Where Earthcaller drives the chain's headline slow proc in the primary hand, Swiftwind sits in the secondary slot with a faster delay and the Swift Spirit worn effect that boosts the Ranger's melee output while the blade is equipped.

The two-sword kit is the canonical "Ranger goes melee" build — both 1H slashing, both turned in to Xanuusus in North Karana as the final step of the epic chain.

Why it matters

Swiftwind is the off-hand half of the Ranger Epic 1.0. On its own it is a fast, low-delay 1H slasher with a strong dual-wield-friendly stat line — STR for melee scaling, DEX for double-attack reliability, STA and HP for survivability. The Swift Spirit worn effect adds passive haste and attack while equipped, raising the Ranger's effective DPS through any sustained melee engagement.

Paired with Earthcaller's primary-hand slow proc, the kit lets a Ranger sustain melee pressure on a target while applying the slow themselves — freeing the group from needing a Shaman or Enchanter slow on dispel-vulnerable fights. The Ranger landing slow during a fight reduces incoming melee on the tank without burning a slower's mana bar.

At-a-glance highlights

The Last Camp any-race-class note

Ranger is canonical to Wood Elf, Half Elf, Human, and Halfling. On The Last Camp any race can roll Ranger. The component chain runs through several Tunare-aligned NPCs (Telin Darkforest in Burning Woods, Faelin Bloodbriar in Faydark, Foloal Stormforest in Firiona Vie) plus a Plane of Hate raid step. Non-canonical-race Rangers (Dark Elf, Troll, Ogre, Iksar) face a long Tunare/Faydark faction grind before the chain becomes accessible. See Faction for Custom Combos.

The Swift Spirit worn effect is class-locked to Ranger by the wielder check, race-agnostic.
