The Warrior Epic 1.0 quest chain rewards Jagged Blade of WarJagged Blade of War2H Slashing·SLOT: PRIMARYDMG 36 DLY 41HP+100STR+20STA+15DEX+15SV POIS+10SV MAGIC+10SV DIS+10SV FIRE+10SV COLD+10ProcRage of ZekHP (instant)-175Cast Instant · Dur 3:00CLASSWarWT6.0MAGICLORENO DROP — a 2-handed slashing sword with the Rage of Zek proc that defines Warrior raid DPS through the Velious-PoP era. The chain runs through two phases of hilt construction in East Freeport, an Ocean of Tears sailor turn-in, a Chardok queen kill, and a long East Karana sub-chain orchestrated by Tenal Redblade that eventually ends back at Kargek Redblade in East Freeport for the Red Scabbard.

The canonical chain is one of the more raid-heavy epics. Three raid targets are required: Velazul Di'zok in Chardok, the Maestro of Rancor in Plane of Hate, and a Spiroc Lord in Plane of Sky. Two large dragon scales (Red and Green) require kills on six different named dragons across Classic and Velious. There is no "easy" path — every component is either a raid drop or a turn-in gated by a named kill.

For Warriors approaching level 60, this is the canonical capstone weapon. The matched-pair lore with the Ranger's Swiftwind that some servers reference does NOT apply to the Warrior 1.0 — that is folk confusion between the Ranger chain's mid-step (Swiftwind) and the Warrior's actual reward.

Chain walkthrough

The canonical chain divides into five phases that combine into the final Red Scabbard container.

Phase 1 — Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt

  1. Acquire an Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt plus a Diamond, Jacinth, and Black Sapphire.
  2. Kargek Redblade in East Freeport — the canonical wiki notes the jeweled hilt phase is gated by Wenden Blackhammer. Give Wenden Blackhammer the Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt, Diamond, Jacinth, and Black Sapphire → receive Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt.

Phase 2 — Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt

  1. Slay the Mountain Giant Patriarch in Dreadlands — loot Giant Sized Monocle.
  2. Mentrax Mountainbone in Frontier Mountains — give Giant Sized Monocle → receive Rejesiam Ore.
  3. Slay Fright, Dread, or Terror in Plane of Fear — loot Ball of Everliving Golem.
  4. Wenden Blackhammer (East Freeport) — give a Severely Damaged Dragon Head Hilt plus Rejesiam Ore plus Ball of Everliving Golem → receive Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt.

Phase 3 — Ancient Sword Blade

  1. Denken Strongpick in Ocean of Tears — give a Keg of Vox Tail Ale, a Block of Permafrost, and two Rebreathers → receive Ancient Sword Blade.

Phase 4 — Ancient Blade

  1. Slay Queen Velazul Di'zok in Chardok (raid encounter) — loot Ancient Blade.

Phase 5 — Red Scabbard (Kargek / Tenal Redblade sub-chain)

  1. Kargek Redblade (East Freeport) — say "what favor" → receive Wax Sealed Note.
  2. Oknoggin Stonesmacker in Feerrott — give Wax Sealed Note → receive Tiny Lute.
  3. Kargek Redblade (East Freeport) — give Tiny Lute → receive Redblade's Legacy (book).
  4. Tenal Redblade in East Karana — give Redblade's Legacy → receive Totem of the Freezing War.
  5. Slay goblin wizards in Permafrost → loot Heart of Frost. Tenal Redblade (East Karana) — give Totem of the Freezing War + Heart of Frost → receive Totem of Fiery War.
  6. Acquire Red Dragon Scales by slaying Nagafen (Nagafen's Lair), Talendor, Ragefire, or Nortlav. Acquire Green Dragon Scales by slaying Severilous or Hoshkar. Tenal Redblade (East Karana) — give Totem of Fiery War + Red Dragon Scales + Green Dragon Scales → receive Mark of the Sword.

  8. Tenal Redblade (East Karana) — give Mark of the Sword + Hand of the Maestro → receive Tenal's Note to Kargek.

  10. Kargek Redblade (East Freeport) — give Tenal's Note to Kargek + Spiroc Wingblade → receive Red Scabbard (the final combine container).

Custom race-class adjustments

Warrior is canonical to all races. The chain itself has no race-locked dialogue — Kargek, Tenal, Wenden, Mentrax, and Denken are all accessible to any-race Warrior on The Last Camp. Faction concerns are downstream of the home cities:

  • Dark Elf, Troll, Ogre, Iksar Warriors are KOS to East Freeport on the Coalition of Tradefolk faction. The Kargek / Wenden hand-ins require Amiable Coalition standing. Grind out of Highpass / Misty Thicket pre-quest, or use Cloak of Flames-style invis stacking only when banker- and merchant-flagged turn-ins don't aggro merchants.
  • Iksar Warriors additionally need Plane of Sky and Plane of Hate access — coordinate with a guild PoS group.
  • All races are friendly to Tenal Redblade in East Karana. The Tenal sub-chain is the most race-permissive segment.
  • See Faction for Custom Combos for the standard Freeport grind paths.

Group composition

  • Solo / duo steps (~4): gem and ore turn-ins at Wenden, the Tiny Lute Feerrott run, East Karana hails.
  • Group steps (~5): Mountain Giant Patriarch in Dreadlands (6-man), Permafrost goblin wizard farming for Heart of Frost (group), Denken Strongpick Rebreather farming in Ocean of Tears.
  • Raid steps (3 + dragon kills): Plane of Fear for Ball of Everliving Golem (full raid), Chardok royals for Velazul Di'zok (24+), Maestro of Rancor in Hate (24+), Spiroc Lord in Sky (24+), plus six dragon spawn opportunities for Red and Green scales.

Tips

  • Red and Green Dragon Scales are the long pole. Six named dragons total — Nagafen / Talendor / Ragefire / Nortlav for Red, Severilous / Hoshkar for Green. Start guild scheduling early; you only need one of each color but spawn windows are wide.
  • Plane of Sky is the gate. A guild PoS run gets your Spiroc Wingblade as a side benefit during normal island clears. Combine the Spiroc Lord kill with a regular PoS XP raid.
  • Chardok royals for Velazul Di'zok require a full clear of the throne approach. Bring CR plans.
  • Maestro of Rancor has high magic resist. Bring multiple slows and physical-damage DPS. Engage only after the Hate throne event is cleared.
  • Save the Red Scabbard before the final combine — failed combines have historically destroyed components. Photograph or back up your inventory before the click.
  • Wenden Blackhammer turn-ins can quirk on faction — confirm Amiable East Freeport before hauling expensive gems across the world.
  • Heart of Frost drops from named goblin wizards in Permafrost — bring an enchanter for the long farming session.
