THE LAST CAMP

The Monk Epic 1.0 rewards Celestial FistsCelestial FistsQuest ItemCLASSAllWT3.0MAGICLORENO DROP — a 9/16 Hands-slot hand-to-hand weapon with +20 STR, +10 DEX/STA/AGI, +15 AC, +100 HP, +10 all resists, and the Celestial Tranquility must-equip proc at L50. Magic / Lore / No Drop, level 46 to equip. The slot is Hands, not Primary — Celestial Fists replaces the Monk's hand wraps and stacks with whatever weapons are wielded.

The chain has a long prerequisite ladder: the Monk Sash quest, the Monk Headband quests, Monks of the Whistling Fist, and The Lost Circle must all be completed first to produce the Robe of the Whistling Fists. Only then does the canonical Celestial Fists chain begin — with a book pickup in Erudin Library, a trade in Timorous Deep, and a cascade of triggered spirit fights across Trakanon's Teeth, Lavastorm Mountains, Plane of Sky, Mines of Nurga, Lake Rathetear, The Overthere, and finally Lake of Ill Omen.

The defining beats are the Eejag fire-sprite test in Lavastorm, the Gwan fight on Plane of Sky, the Trunt kill in Mines of Nurga, and the final Xenevorash encounter on the Lake of Ill Omen shore. The closing fight is a chained spawn of Vorash, Deep, then Xenevorash — fast group play if pulled cleanly.

Chain walkthrough

The chain divides into a prerequisite phase, a book-acquisition phase, and the spirit fights.

Phase 1 — Prerequisites

Before the canonical chain begins, complete these in order:

  1. Monk Sash quest → Red Sash of Order.
  2. Monk Headband quests → Purple Headband.
  3. Monks of the Whistling FistRobe of the Lost Circle.
  4. The Lost CircleRobe of the Whistling Fists.

The Robe of the Whistling Fists is the gating item for step 2 of the main chain.

Phase 2 — Book Acquisition (steps 1-2)

  1. Tomekeeper Danl on the 2nd floor of Erudin Library — Bring the Immortals book (drops from named in Skyfire Mountains) → Danl's Reference.
  2. Lheao in a hidden cove of Timorous Deep — Bring Danl's Reference + Robe of the Whistling Fists → Celestial Fists (the book — not the epic weapon).

Phase 3 — Spirit Fights (steps 3-10)

  1. Mad Kaiaren in the undead ruins of Trakanon's Teeth (loc -1609, -2679) — Give the Celestial Fists book → returned (the hand-in triggers the next spawn).
  2. Sane Kaiaren in a lakeside hut in Trakanon's Teeth (loc +300, +2400) — Give the Celestial Fists book → Book of Celestial Fists.
  3. a fire sprite in Lavastorm Mountains — Say "I challenge Eejag" → spawns Eejag. Kill Eejag → loot Charred Scale.
  4. a presence on Noble Dojorn's island in Plane of Sky — Give Charred Scale → spawns Gwan. Kill Gwan → loot Breath of Gwan.
  5. a sleeping ogre in Mines of Nurga — Give Breath of Gwan → spawns Trunt. Kill Trunt → loot Trunt's Head.
  6. Deep in the underwater caverns of Lake Rathetear — Give Trunt's Head → returned (hand-in triggers the next step).
  7. an astral projection in the scorpion chasm of The Overthere (loc +3830, -3545) — Give Trunt's Head → Eye of Kaiaren.
  8. an astral projection on the shore of Lake of Ill Omen (loc -1900, -950) — Give Eye of Kaiaren → spawns Vorash, then Deep, then Xenevorash in chain. Kill all three → loot Demon Fangs.

Phase 4 — Final Turn-in

  1. Sane Kaiaren in Trakanon's Teeth — Give Book of Celestial Fists + Demon Fangs → receive Celestial FistsCelestial FistsQuest ItemCLASSAllWT3.0MAGICLORENO DROP.

Custom race-class adjustments

Monk is canonically restricted to Human and Iksar. The Last Camp allows any race. Considerations:

  • Iksar Monks have the easiest faction terrain — the Erudin Library step is the only Karnor's-direction-hostile site, and Tomekeeper Danl is reachable through standard Erudin grind.
  • Dark Elf, Troll, Ogre Monks need Erudin Library faction before step 1. Tomekeeper Danl is on the 2nd floor and reachable through Coalition of Tradefolk or standard Erudin grind, but the building guards are hostile to evil races.
  • Wood Elf, Halfling, Half Elf, Gnome, Erudite, Vah Shir Monks can hail Tomekeeper Danl on neutral faction.
  • The prereq Monk Sash and Headband quests have their own faction requirements — research each before starting.
  • See Faction for Custom Combos.

Group composition

  • Solo (prereqs + book pickup): the four prereq quests and steps 1-2 of the main chain are completable with Feign Death and standard Monk solo play.
  • Group (6-8): Eejag, Gwan, Trunt, and the Deep hand-in are small-group fights. Trunt is the hardest of the four — bring a strong tank and a slower.
  • Raid (12-18): the Xenevorash chain on Lake of Ill Omen shore. Vorash and Deep are warm-ups; Xenevorash is the real fight. Magic resist gear recommended.

Tips

  • Don't start the main chain without the Robe of the Whistling Fists in hand — Lheao won't talk without it.
  • Feign Death is the chain's tempo. Use it on every Trakanon's Teeth and Mines of Nurga pull.
  • Gwan on Plane of Sky requires Sky access. If your guild doesn't farm Sky regularly, the Sky-key grind is itself a multi-week side project — start it in parallel with the prereqs.
  • The astral projection in The Overthere (loc +3830, -3545) is in a scorpion-thick chasm — clear the camp before the hand-in or you'll lose corpse.
  • The Xenevorash chain spawns three named in fast succession on the Lake of Ill Omen shore. Pre-position the raid before the hand-in and don't let Vorash path away from the pull point.
  • The reward goes in the Hands slot — it replaces hand wraps. Don't bank your existing wraps until you've equipped Celestial Fists and verified the AC bump.
